I've had in my mind for some time the idea to create a large house for doll display. I looked into using a large bookcase but that was too shallow.......and I don't have much wall space to spare.
I have an armoir up in the family room...at least it was while the family was home....now it's a huge play room for me. The armoir is large and held a TV when my mom lived with us.
I haven't ran it by my hubby as yet but I see no problem. I do have a history of dismanteling the backs of furniture pieces to make space for a TV.....that was in the old days before there were entertainment centers. I used one Vintage French armoir and took the back off of it.....husband wasn't thrilled exactlly. I saved the boards from the back though.
I figure if I don't deface the front or cut holes in the side for doors or windows, I'll be OK. I'll post a picture of the before and photos as I go along.
My husband doesn't come up here very often, especially now since his stroke. I'm better off doing it and then showing him.
That's enough for now, I have to get use to a different blog site....every site has it's own piculare ways.
